The  Mayo Clinic downtown and St. Mary’s campuses house many investigator-led research laboratories, core research facilities, and research centers which span many departments as well as all three Mayo Enterprise sites (Rochester, Jacksonville, Scottsdale).  In addition, Mayo Clinic has many clinical research support mechanisms and a rich heritage of integrating across the three shields of Mayo Clinic (Research, Clinical Practice, and Education). We will provide tours of five laboratories/core labs as well as provide schedule information for historical tours of Mayo Clinic  which are offered regularly, as well as other places to explore.
Tours highlighting Mayo Clinic research will take place in the following areas on August 8 between 1 and 4pm.
The Motion Analysis Laboratory, directed by Kenton Kaufman, PhD
The Biomechanics Laboratory and Testing Core, directed by Timothy Hewett, PhD
The Tendon and Soft Tissue Biology Laboratory, directed by Peter Amadio, MD
The Biomedical Imaging Resource Laboratory and Core, directed by David Holmes III, PhD
